Privacy policy

Sellwares is a platform that lets creators run their own online shop — selling courses, downloads, memberships, bookings and more. This page explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Sellwares Sweden, Von Lingens Väg 43, 213 70 Malmö, Sweden. For anything about your data, write to saasteamberlin@gmail.com.
- For creators who open a shop with us, we decide how your account data is used, so we are its controller.
- For people who buy from a shop, the creator who runs that shop is the controller, and we process your data on their behalf as their processor. Each shop has its own privacy policy; questions about a purchase are best sent to the shop first.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email address, a protected (hashed) password if you set one, two-step sign-in settings, and your shop's settings.
- What you put in your shop — products, pages, files, posts, courses and the like.
- Buyers' details, for the shop they bought from — name, email, what they bought, booking times and answers, and the address or tax number a checkout asks for.
- Payments — handled by the payment provider the creator connects (for example Stripe or PayPal). We never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device, and the pages visited, kept to run the service securely and to stop abuse.
- Cookies — the ones a site needs to work (staying signed in, a cart, security) are always on. Advertising and tracking tags that a creator adds to their shop only load after a visitor agrees on the cookie banner.
Why we use it
- To provide the service you signed up for or bought from (our contract with you).
- To keep accounts and payments safe and to prevent fraud (our legitimate interest).
- To keep accounting and tax records for as long as Swedish law requires (a legal obligation).
- To send news or offers only when you have agreed to it (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the link in every such email).
Google account data
When a creator connects their Google account, Sellwares asks for two things only: to create, change and remove calendar events for the bookings made in their shop (which is how each booking gets its Google Meet link and appears in their calendar), and to see the account's email address, so the creator can tell which account is connected.
We use this data only to provide those booking features. We do not use it for advertising, do not sell it, and do not let anybody read it except where needed for security, to comply with the law, or with the creator's agreement.
Sellwares' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect at any time in Sellwares under Settings → Calendars, or remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. On disconnecting, we delete the stored access keys.
Zoom account data
When a creator connects Zoom, Sellwares reads their Zoom user profile and creates, changes and removes Zoom meetings for the bookings in their shop — nothing else. Disconnect at any time under Settings → Calendars, which deletes the stored access keys.
Who else handles data for us
Only what each needs, and only for the feature that needs it:
- the company that hosts our servers;
- an email delivery service, to send receipts, sign-in links and the emails a creator sends;
- the payment providers a creator connects (such as Stripe, PayPal, Mollie or Revolut);
- Google and Zoom, when a creator connects them (above);
- Cloudflare, when a creator connects a domain of their own;
- an AI provider (Anthropic), only when a creator uses an AI writing feature, with the text that feature needs.
If any of them stores data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
How long we keep it
Account data for as long as the account is open. When an account is closed we delete or anonymise it — except records the law says we must keep, such as accounting records, which in Sweden are kept for seven years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to take a copy with you, or to object to or limit how we use it. Write to saasteamberlin@gmail.com and we will answer within a month. If you bought from a shop, the creator can also export or erase your data from their dashboard.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY) or the authority where you live.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so here and, for account holders, by email before it takes effect.
